Desperate Housewife

I've never been the best housewife, but before I had kids, I did okay. I was on top of things.

But ever since kid number one, priorities changed. Laundry was moved to the top of the list, dishes a close second. Everything else got done only when absolutely necessary. (Please tell me I'm not the only one!)

And ever since kid number two, I fantasize about my whole house being clean at the same time. I'm not sure it will ever happen. Because, frankly, when the stars align and both of my boys are napping at the same time, I run for the couch to put my feet up and indulge in some restful me-time instead of tackling chores.

The only thing that consistently motivates me to clean is having people over! Although, I'm wondering if creating a cleaning schedule would help me stay on top of the housework. Have you ever tried sticking to one? Did it work?

I found these cute printable and customizable cleaning schedules that might be helpful:

  1. You are not alone in this! I like the cleaning schedule that's already filled in. I tend to do better when I'm told what to do :)
